I take it you don't want to use RC-56 and are looking for a suitable alternative.

There are "gasless" CA's out there but I'm unfamiliar with them. Have you considered a double sided carpet tape? This stuff is sold at Lowe's, Home Depot and just about every hardware store out there. It is high-tack, very thin and works great on acetate and other plastics. However, it is NOT fuel-proof.

I got away from gluing canopies some time ago as I never could get the results I was looking for. Now I use RTL servo mounting screws after reinforcing the undersides of my canopies with glass cloth or clear, PVC tape.
