hey if you can afford the drift spec TT-01 then go for it. The Drift spec kit comes with the alum drive shaft and proper bearings.

Yes you are going to have to build and paint it but the TT-01's are all very easy to build since Tamiya have among the best instruction manuals of all the manufacturers plus if you look around there's a handy build tutorial video around on the bittorrent sites. With that kit as you said you'll still need to get some Radio gear (ie servo, Tx and Rx), and a battery and charger.

With the Z-Tune kit you still need add on the the Alum Prop Shaft and Bearing hop-ups.
