I just spent two weeks on a basic simulator (FMS) 1 hr a day then got my cx2 and was up and running. I have 30 batteries through it and am ready for a Collective pitch. The SIM gets you familar with the controls and saves on the frustration factor. Also take the time to set it up right every time you fly. They fly great when trimmed but if you have to fight it and fly forget it. Good luck
What is this basic simulator you're talking about? How much $$ is it? I liked the Realflight sim at the LHS, but I don't wanna spend the $$ on it.
