Default RE: Nitro Models Ryan PT-20

You both are absolutely correct on the landing gear! I must have spent three hours trying to bend and rebend so they look and roll straight. I'm still not happy how they sit into the wing slot. I will use more epoxy for strength. I don't like how all the landing force will be on the wing, but that's the design [sm=confused.gif]. I finally figured out by the pictures that the wood is part of the control rods like you said. I went ahead and built it and did the heat shrink part. I didn't like the way it looks so I went ahead and pulled them and went with metal push rods and changed that part of the design. Also, I had difficulties with understanding the tail wheel installation. There is not help on this in the instructions. I went ahead and installed a Sullivan tail wheel which looks much better. Did I mention I snaped one of the aileron rods half way off? I had to epoxy the clevis that didn't fit in but things seem to be holding. Not happy with that. Right now, I'm at the point where I'm going to install the engine. I already have the servos and linkages installed. I'm hoping the engine aligns. I'm worried about that. I will be installing an OS .46AX so thanks for the info on the engines. I'm not planning aerobatics but more pattern flying. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll post some pics later. Thanks [sm=cool.gif]
