In reply to Primodus. I used streamline aluminium tubing with 4-40 wire inside. I epoxied a small balsa block inside to secure the wire after connecting DUB302 clevis to each end. I made custom connections on the plane and the connectors on the USA kit for the float ends. Measurement of lengths were made after establishing the position of mounting the floats following the position discussed in the forum re--- CG, wing incidence, step location etc.

In hind sight, I might have lifted the plane a little higher from the floats ( maybe an inch) but I personally think the photos on some commercial sites of the 182 or 185 look too high. The full size Cessna does not sit as high as a Piper Cub on its floats.
