Update....

Well, it has been awhile since I completed the 4*40. Work, family, new job, other events in life stopped me from getting out to the field.

I FINALLY got to maiden voyage her today in Ohio's December yet early spring like weather

My heart was pounding, I had to bend my knees, take deep-breaths, my hands/fingers felt like they were shaking. I taxi'd it around to feel out the rear wheel control. After a long straight taxi I gave her some up elevator and whamo, she was airborne. I thought my heart was pounding aggressively when I was taxing!!! She was very smooth . All I could say was.. WOW, I barely had to add any trim anywhere. I will say, she is definitely a floater. I had to come in low and as slow as possible to get her down. I will have to work to reduce the RPM idle speed so my approaches can be a bit shorter. Thanks to the guys who were there to keep my psychological confidence in gear! Doug.. Bill..

Now, to my next project. Not sure what to start with next, 4*60? Venture60? Chipmunk? any suggestions for a third plane. My medium goal thus far is to enter an IMAC.

Thanks for any input,

Matt
