Well my 85" Cap flew today for the first time. Got 2 flights in and then it got dark.. weather wasn't the best today.
It flew ok but I have major thrust / CG issues that need to be resolved. I was wondering did you guys balance it right side up or inverted and where are you flying the CG at?
As it sits it needs a lot of down el. to fly level and inverted it needs a lot of down el to keep level. I have it right close to 4" balance wise.. in verted it's perfectly level and right side up it drops the nose slightly. To me that it seems right... but flying wise it's a different ball game.
I did one flat spin and it flattened out nicely. KE pulled to the gear like no tomorrow. Hovering was very funny.. but I didnt expect much considering all the other issues.
Also if I fly at half throttle and drop tyhe throttle it balloons a lot. It's flying like it's very tail heavy.. but inverted says it's not and the el. is not hyper sensitive.
Anyhow.. if anyone can give me input on what they did with the thrust and CG I would appreciate it. I will post some final pics of it soon as I get a chance... people really liked the finished product and I got a lot of "who makes that Cap"
I will tell you one thing.. this baby has some serious roll rate

I think once I get my issues dealt with I will be a happy camper.. it seems like a floater and looks like it will fly well.
Happy New Year!
