If you have a servo in the direct proximety of the ignition system, chance are that you might have some electrical feed back to the receiver, with the Fiber Optic, there is no chance of that.

the ignition battery powers the throttle and choke servo and everything electrical in the engine compartment stays there and the only thing that goes to the receiver is the Fiber Optic cable which is immune to any noise
