I have had pretty good results with this rod. I get mine at Harbor Freight. Tinning is most improtant step, what is called rubbing in. I also use MAPP gas, makes for a faster better flowing bead. I make most of my mufflers reom 1/8x1x2 tubing,varying length as needed. I fold the ends over and use 3/8 brass tubing for exit. Use a doubler opposite the exhaust outlet to prevent capture nuts from deforming muffler. I also try to use only studs for muffler hold down. Good luck, red
