Awesome stuff. How does it go on exhaust systems though?. will it remelt and leave your exhaust system all over the bottom of your cowl?.
It certainly looks the goods for welding the mounting tags back onto your engine and rethreading bolt holes into that crappy stuff the cast the crankcases out of.
Where abouts in Australia did you manage to find it?. was it expensive?
Cheers, Wiz.

Take a look in Wally World for super nice little Aluminum water conatiner...discounted now to only 3 dollars. They are thread-ed at open end. Look great for making a light-weight exhaust for our conversion engines. Regards Capt,n

I have had pretty good results with this rod. I get mine at Harbor Freight. Tinning is most improtant step, what is called rubbing in. I also use MAPP gas, makes for a faster better flowing bead. I make most of my mufflers reom 1/8x1x2 tubing, varying length as needed. I fold the ends over and use 3/8 brass tubing for exit. Use a doubler opposite the exhaust outlet to prevent capture nuts from deforming muffler. I also try to use only studs for muffler hold down. Good luck, red

The compressed gas/air for cleaning electronics comes in a nice alumimum can. 2.5"diameter x 9" length.
Will the durafix work on these exhausts?

The problem I see with making any exhaust pipe of significant length or size is vibration will soon fracture
a solidheader joint. If instead, the connection is made with something like silicone between header and pipe, seems to be OK. As to that air can, instead look in womens hair care products and you will find any shape you need. Saw one Sunday, aluminum, 2"dia.,9" long and had a screw on cap appx. 1/2" in dia. Looked perfect for a mousse can project. Good luck, red
