hey I wouldn;t be too concerned with the cloour of the exhaust! as long as there is plenty of smoke you should be fine. Every fuel burns differently so to say to tune it till its produces white smoke is extremely wrong

Blue smoke is blue because its blue thunder right!
Its blue because of the unburnt oil and mixture. The more efficiently it combusts the less crap is in the smoke and therefore the 'whiter' the smoke.
Different fuels do indeed burn differently but as a rule for a newb (which he clearly is) whiteish smoke is not 'extremely wrong' but the sign of an engine burining fuel efficiently.
