Theres lots of blue smoke whilst accelerating and that needs tuning cos it hardly accelerates! How much after run oil do i need to put in the engine? Just a few drops or more? Im not going to use for a few days so want the engine to be well protected!

oh yeah dont get me wrong. its definately a tuning issue. I just pointing out that the smoke is not the way to indicate whether the engine is in tune or not thats all and you shouldn;t be too concerned.
Anyway in your case it sounds rich possibly on the LSN so try leaning that a little.

hey I wouldn;t be too concerned with the cloour of the exhaust! as long as there is plenty of smoke you should be fine. Every fuel burns differently so to say to tune it till its produces white smoke is extremely wrong

Blue smoke is blue because its blue thunder right!
Its blue because of the unburnt oil and mixture. The more efficiently it combusts the less crap is in the smoke and therefore the 'whiter' the smoke.
Different fuels do indeed burn differently but as a rule for a newb (which he clearly is) whiteish smoke is not 'extremely wrong' but the sign of an engine burining fuel efficiently.

Hi, just had a good run of the car in the garden. I have tuned the HSN needle a little but still had acceleration problems. I started tuning the LSN and this improved the acceleration does it matter that I've tuned LSN more than the HSN? Or is HSN supposed to be fully tuned before I tune the LSN? Also at one point the car started moving forward by itself with the radio equipment on, i turned off the equipment and it stopped moving forward. What was that about? Car is absolutely covered in mud now!!

In an ideal world you would tune the HSN first then the low, BUT sometimes its nescessary to lean out the LSN a little first to get it to pull off cleanly. Don't lean the bottom too much though until you have tuned the HSN, just enough that it doesn't stall.
As far as the car creeping forward is concerned have you tried the trim on the radio? (I know it sounds silly but I have to ask) If you haven't you might want to turn the trim on the throttle down a notch. There are other things it could be but its intriguing that it stops when you switch off the tranny.

Only happened twice then was fine. Do you think it was cos I was tuning the LSN or perhaps the car being caked in mud and interefering with signal (i doubt that though!) How do i fully tune the HSN again?
