Default Cold Starting My Cen MT2, Help

I seem to be having some difficulties in starting up my Cen MT2 truck. When I had the factory NT16 engine, I never had this much with starting up. I recently installed a brand new NT18 motor. I understand the new engine has more power, more resistance, and of course, the piston and sleeve are going to be very tight. I use a hair dryer to warm up the motor a bit and that usually allows me to start up the motor quickly. But, when I am outside where its cold, my pull starter is very tight and gets locked up after a few pulls. If I loosen the glow plug just a tiny bit, it makes it easier to pull the motor, but, a bit of fuel will come up from the glow plug area. I am now thinking that my IDLE is set too rich? I almost always use the Tiger Starter kits as I do not like pull starters. This is my only truck with a pull start. Any suggestions out there on the proper way to pull start an engine? Thanks to all...
