Default RE: 4 stroke on gas / glow ??

av8tor,

Thanks for that feedback. i'm beginning to think that welding the spark plug hole shut and then drilling, countersinking, and tapping for the 1/4 X 32 glow plug might be the best way to pursue this.

Do you know if anybody tried the Glowbee style plugs in a gas / glow application?

After reading the 43 page thread on gas / glow (best 4 hours I've spent on a research project) I've concluded that I will run some kind of glow plug heat (either constant or variable). I'm expecting the methanol to be the ignition mechanism rather than the primary power source in the fuel. I am really looking forward to benefits of the hybrid fuel / ignition conversion. I've been wanting to pursue conversions for some time now but have been stymied by the ignition issue. Now there is an alternative to gas / spark ignitions without incurring the "methanol only" issues.
