Default RE: Kero start burner durability.

I've had 5 total Kero units

2 worked flawlessly for about 20 starts. One of them even survived a crash when the engine didn't survive!!

2 worked for about 5 hours. One of them caused a failsafe on my a-10x on the ground, thank goodness. Sent it back to Jetcat got a new one. The other one went bad after about 30 min. Lost in the mail and never saw it again.

As of last year 50% failure on my kero starts. I have 2 of them now brand new that I'm willing to sell for cheap!!

Have since switched to propane and I've never looked back.

ORIGINAL: afterburner

My P-60 kero start failed after 20 starts. Was replaced under warranty by JC USA with the "new and improved" version. I switched the plane over to gas start and I'm much happier.
