You guys are talking about what's being sold in the ads with the brushed gear, I cannot even get a brushed motor at all of the LHS's, it's all brushless and if you can afford, lipo's. Save the money for the gear, the plane should be secondary. The rest of it, you already know about from gasland, it's really simple, plug and play, not alot of thought is necessary, that's one of the advantages of the e-flight gig.

You want more power, higher numbers on the motors, esc's and battery packs, the more the better unless you opt to go directly into 3d which are going to want you to weight it lighter and that's a different animal, but original request wasn't about that one, if you can spend the money on the good stuff, do so, you'll be using it for a long time.
