I bought the 5 channel radio with my instructors rec. He is sure I will grow into it. Only having 4 channels may limit your airplane choices in the future. Maybe even save a little green.

Except I bought a 6 channel JR MAX Pro for a backup radio. I got a REALLY good deal on it and I couldn't resist!
