I have the tower .60 Trainer and if this one is anything at all like it flies like dream and the assembly was easy.
My instructor and I had it up on a VERY windy day and it handled great. My instructor said if the wind wouldn't have been blowing we probly wouldn't of had to been there to help it fly!
Another thing I purchased the Tower .60 engine and during the breakin on a saw horse, the engine was moving the saw horse around without much trouble. (On the second tank of fuel)
Just my two cents worth.

.Tower Hobby was coming out with a bigger trainer that need a 46 engine or better.
I punched in the item number but nothing comes up.
When it was available for sale you were only able to get it in a ARF version.
The TH 60 is what I have on the way.
I also have the Avistar but really enjoy flying the trainer Super Select 40.
I was thinking of mounting some sort of tripod on top and use the OS 40 as a pusher.
If I round off the open nose the pusher type configuration will give it appx 15-20% more efficiency.
At least that's what I got on my ultralight.
Flying is fun and experimenting is even funner

Here is a link to a thread and a PIC of my TT.60. I put floats on it for use off of the snow this winter and water next spring. I think it is a good plane with alot of other than trainer potential!

The engine is the Tower Hobbies .60. It has a purple head, pretty neat, and I use a Master Airscrew 11x7 prop. Everything is what was listed as basic stuff. I use a JR XF421ex 5 channel radio to make it behave.

Your computer may need a little TLC. Make sure it has the updates & patches and then scandisk it and defrag. It may help and shouldn't hurt.

Default TOWER TRAINER 60

I bought the Tower Trainer 60 way back in 1995 after taking advise from my instructor. I learned rather quick and was able to step up to my second plane rather quickly, now Im on my third set up plan and doing aerobatics.
The only mishap was replacing the wing, and at the time Tower had the replacement on sale.
The Tower Trainer 60 now is my winter flyer with ski's and I have a set of floats for it for summer. Its a real blast flying off snow.
Only modifications I did to it was give it a Fultz nose gear & wider mains and it will turn on a dime when taxing around.
Tower Trainer is a good choice.

.What are you using 5 channels for?
That big trainer comes with the FUTABA 4 channel system 3000.
I rad defrag and scandisk.
I have a site on Geocities also but I think your pictures are taking up a lot of space and thats why the page stops loading

I bought the 5 channel radio with my instructors rec. He is sure I will grow into it. Only having 4 channels may limit your airplane choices in the future. Maybe even save a little green.

Except I bought a 6 channel JR MAX Pro for a backup radio. I got a REALLY good deal on it and I couldn't resist!

.Hi AlStack,
I was looking at the FUTABA TX system 3000 6 channel.
Not a bad price and I think they also sell what is called the flight pack that has all the servos, batteries, charger, receiver, etc.
Gotta grow with the hobby

Whirley Bird,
Yours is a good choice. You can always "Not Use" a channel, but if you don't have one......

Goood Luck,
Al

.
Hi AlStack,
Everyone is telling me that the 6 channel is my best pick for what flying I do.
I sure don't want to get into computer radios
