Yes this replaces the battery tray but can attach over it (not with the SAVS board as the battery extension gets in the way) - however the front leg (riser) inhibits some of the motion. By replacing the existing tray, I am able to attach other mounts (within 10 secs) for different purposes - i.e battery only, night flight lights, or just hacking around.
