I can't speak on failures since it's never happened to me, but i've used both the Revolution and Deans whip antennas, and the Deans ones are much better in quality from what i've seen. Easier to mount too.

Range wise they both work well though. I use a revolution on one of my micro helis and a deans on one of my small park flyers.
