I know this is going to sound dumb but what are you supposed to do with that 2 foot antenna wire. It came wrapped around the skid, but I know it isn't supposed to stay there. Ive seen some model airplanes with the antenna strung back to the tail. I don't want it to get tangled in the rotor. HELP Please

And so you come to the pet peeve of every helicopter pilot
.
Whip antennas are popular solutions for micro helis. Deans seem to be some of the best ones i've seen in terms of range and reliability.

I have the revolution whip antenna. It was suggested to me over the Dean's one because of reported failures with them. I researched them before purchasing, and based on several posts on RR I went with the Revolution one.

I hated the look of the wire wrapped around the skid so much I got a DX6.
But EFlite say that their stock location is supposed to be relatively glitch-free.
For short range maybe.
On my stocker I got an antenna tube and "top and bottom loaded" the antenna by wrapping some if it around the tube. It seems to work as well as the stock location and looks way cooler.
Sorry I am TDY and can't post a pic.

I can't speak on failures since it's never happened to me, but i've used both the Revolution and Deans whip antennas, and the Deans ones are much better in quality from what i've seen. Easier to mount too.
Range wise they both work well though. I use a revolution on one of my micro helis and a deans on one of my small park flyers.

The wire on the skidds works great so if you don't mind the look just go with it. I owned 4 Blace CP's and never had the first problem. Otherwise on my T-rex I use the Deans.

Ok I guess for now i'll just leave it. I just figured it needed to be strung out somewhat for better reception. But now I have a new problem. I was just trying to get light on the skids and I let the tail swing and hit the couch. (I know I should be outside but it was dark), anyway nothing got broke that I can find but now I cant control the torque, it just wants to spin left when I open thottle even if I hold full right rudder. I really don't know whats wrong with it. It knocked something out of spec.

Crash...
Make sure that when you hit the couch, you didn't jar the tail rotor loose, it's held snug with a small piece of fuel tubing. make sure that the gear is engaged and that the tail prop is setted in the gear. there are two notches that the tail rotor has to fit into, then push the tubing on tightly.

HI choppersrule
I have been out of town and haven't had a chance to really look at it. I know it is belt driven, I'll have a look at it tomorrow if I have time. Thanks

Crashingnow,
If your heli is belt driven, disregard my early post. It was intended for a Blade CP/Pro, not a belt driven heli.
Sorry, didn't realize your heli is belt driven.
I understand, trying to find the time thing.
