Today I was trying to get a free Roybi engine running on my bench. Got it started ran it for a few min then went to shut it off --- Here is where the problem comes in..

In my hast, I don't have a kill switch I normally just stick my finger over carb, but this time I took the screwdriver I was holding and shorted it across the mag and the little tab sticking up out of the mag .

Thinking this would work just like a kill switch.. NOW my mag won't produce spark .. Did I burn it up ??? I mean it killed the motor instanly
