Default RE: Tequila Sunrise

I bought my .40 size Global Tequila Sunrise ARF from HobbyShack (now Hobby People) back in about 2000 or so. Put it together in about 5 evenings. It was very touchy, had to put low rates down to about ± 4mm to keep it from snapping. However, it would do a wide-open snaproll that just about stopped it in midair. Learned a lot flying that plane, nice four-point rolls and other things.

I figure that Global only made one production run for either size Tequila Sunrise ARF, and they're still sitting on some of the first run of the .25 size. The .40 size disappeared from their listings in a couple years. Nice looks, but a lot of people didn't find them user-friendly.

I finally retired mine last year, it's hanging in the garage. Some ambitious club member will get it for a donation to the club. I've had my fun with it!
