It does sound like your servo is "slipping" or gears are grinding. Can you hear the gears grind/slip when you move the stick? If so, you might want to take the CX2 back to your LHS (if you bought it there) and see if they will exchange it or fix it, or call/e-mail Horizon Hobby and tell them you have a bad servo and see if they would be willing to send you a replacement one. As far aas the light, there should be two lights in the 4-in-1 unit - a solid orange light on the right side and a solid green light on the left. The green light will flash on and off when you first connect the battery, which means its "setting" itself. After it's ready to go, the green light will go solid. If this isn't happening with both lights, there might be something wrong with your 4-in-1 unit. If that's the case, take the CX2 back where you got it from and exchange it (since it's still new).
