Hi there, I have just bought myself a Blade CX2 helicopter, this is my first heli and am having a problem. At the moment Ive had two crashes, how these crashes happened was the heli launching forward for a split second then making me crash, both times its broke the lower rotor head. After examining the heli I noticed that the elavator servo seems to jam in the center, am thinking that the servo trys to go forward then overshoots making it launch forward. Any help, info, and suggestions on how to fix this or what I should do would really help me out.
And another quick question, from the time I turn on the heli and all the way through the flite, the is a solid orange light on the RX, am guessing this is some sort of fail safe light. It says nothing of this in the manuel and I want to confirm that this isnt a problem, thanks alot for the help.

DriftTech,
It does sound like your servo is "slipping" or gears are grinding. Can you hear the gears grind/slip when you move the stick? If so, you might want to take the CX2 back to your LHS (if you bought it there) and see if they will exchange it or fix it, or call/e-mail Horizon Hobby and tell them you have a bad servo and see if they would be willing to send you a replacement one. As far aas the light, there should be two lights in the 4-in-1 unit - a solid orange light on the right side and a solid green light on the left. The green light will flash on and off when you first connect the battery, which means its "setting" itself. After it's ready to go, the green light will go solid. If this isn't happening with both lights, there might be something wrong with your 4-in-1 unit. If that's the case, take the CX2 back where you got it from and exchange it (since it's still new). Hope that helps some...

Thanks for the help Scott, I called horizon and they said that my warrenty is gone since I flyed it, and for the servo there is no grinding it just gets jammed in the middle and will not go any further up. I guess am just going to have to order the 2 parts I need on backorder and wait a month to get them [sm=50_50.gif].

Isolate the servo with no load, first of all.
Seperate the ball joint from the linkage, and see if it still has the problem.
If you are feeling brave, and you have new parts on order anyways, you can try to dissasemble the servo and free the gears, I've done it several times on my Parkzone planes when they start acting weird.
Good luck with the new ones, though!
