All my lighting system is home made, with circuits I found over the net. I can tell you that I saved a lot of money with this.
I have red and green position lights at wingtips always on, one white position light in the tail cone always on too, one red rotating beacon at vertical stab and two landing lights that goes on with the 5 channel switch in radio. All the lights are powered by a 1300 mAh nimh pack with a switch.
The circuit for the landing lights can be a simple on board glow plug starter that is easily found in the net, but instead of working with throttle it is plugged in the 5 channel and is operated with the 5 channel switch. These lights work with the same voltage than the glow plugs so you donīt have to change anything in the circuit.
The one for the rotating beacon itīs a circuit that makes a light go on and off with the desired time rate. You can find it also.
