Hi guys... Happy New Year to you all, and hope you had a great Chhristmas's too.

My main choice of engine is now the SAITO 180 FS, by all accounts so far it'll have tons of grunt ( and more than enough for ski use ) otherwise I have a YS 120 SC to use.
As yet I haven't managed to put much time into the assembly of my new Beaver, but here's a few things I intend doing... your thoughts are appreciated.
1, I don't care too much for the blue color on the leading edges, can I paint this covering?? I'd like to completely change the whole plane to an ARMY green as I have seen that the RAAF used "floated" Beavers.. Cool! make this a scale WARBIRD float plane eh??
2, I'd like some better looking scale type main undercarriage for land use, anyone done anthing here?? and also the tail wheel??
3, The other thing I will do is not to use the servo in the tail for the rudder and use a golden rod type arrangement. To do this I will make some sort of light former half way along the inside of the fuz ( also to stiffen the fuz sides somewhat )
