Recently I have found a free 3D-CAD-Tool that can be downloaded from the web for free (as far as I understood....), the CoCreate OneSpace Modeling Personal Edition (
http://www.cocreate.de/designer_modeling.cfm ).
Installation went easy, and I tried to do some simple designs on it - well, I had my trouble since I have never before been working on a 3D-CAD. I am a doc, so in my working life I never see anything like that, and for my hobby I used a simple 2D-CAD, the DraftBoard by Porsche (yes, the one with the famous sport cars....). So I have no idea about the pros and contras of the tool... but it has a strong potential to become one of my favourite toys!
Therefore my question - does anybody have some experience on this program, and, for me the most important - how is design work on a 3D-CAD done (how to draw the formers, how to insert the stringers, the surfaces and so on.....)???
best regards
Chris
