RE: Twist 150 ARF
Hi Guy's just sold my Twist 60 see the posts, I loved it however just finished my 1.50, got the Bisson muffler but I have ordered the tuned pipe for it too, I have put a 18X6 APC on it for now I have ordered a 17X4, 17X6 APC too so you have guessed I have mounted the Evo 26 GT I had to get creative with the position of the ignition and receiver batteries to balance it though ...I put them right aft in front of the horizontal stab!!!! I cut away the covering in the bottom of the fuse and slotted the batteries in there, a couple of 18" extensions and we are good. I have fitted Hitec HS5625's on all surfaces and a HS 225 MG on the throttle, I also fitted a 3.5" trueturn spinner. I had issues with Hanger 9's C.G on the Twist 60 so I put the C.G at the forward range with the batteries in the rear I added no extra weight....all up weight is 9.7 Lbs dry still below the manual top weight spec, I have read that the 26GT is only ok,ish with no pipe so thats why I have ordered the tuned pipe also, anybody have any experience with this issue???.
It's snowing and -12 here in London On Canada so a maiden is a while away but as soon as I do I'll let you all know, I hope it flys like my old 60 because i have to say it was one of the better plane s that was in my hanger...Laterz Colin.
