Anyone get their hands on one of these yet?
Please post some photos, setups, reviews, etc. if/when you do...
I should have mine in a couple of days (hopefully)... I'm going with an inexpensive setup:
Thunder Tigre G-2300 (1.4 CI nitro engine)
Tower TS-70 servos (133 oz/in MG BB servos)

I don't have any gas engines in my planes yet, but here's a couple of facts that would lead me to believe you could use that in the Twist 150:
Horizon recommends the Evo 26 GT2, which is a 26cc gas engine. The specs on the SPE26 say <10lbs for 3D flight, and Horizon says the Twist 150 should come in at 8.5-9.5 lbs.

I got my Twist 150 yesterday Jan 9 2007 along with the Evo 26GT2 gasser...only problem that I can see is the plane will be done today and I won't get my order into Bisson for the muffler later on this morning...Sucks to have that cool down low deck pounder and stuck waiting on the muffler to get here before I can wring her out at the field...ImacPilot

Got my Twist 150 ready to fly... just need some good weather to maiden it now. It balanced out perfectly with the Thunder Tigre G2300 and the radio gear in the recommended positions. The red & black Twist in the photos is my Twist 60 for comparison...

Hi Guy's just sold my Twist 60 see the posts, I loved it however just finished my 1.50, got the Bisson muffler but I have ordered the tuned pipe for it too, I have put a 18X6 APC on it for now I have ordered a 17X4, 17X6 APC too so you have guessed I have mounted the Evo 26 GT I had to get creative with the position of the ignition and receiver batteries to balance it though ...I put them right aft in front of the horizontal stab!!!! I cut away the covering in the bottom of the fuse and slotted the batteries in there, a couple of 18" extensions and we are good. I have fitted Hitec HS5625's on all surfaces and a HS 225 MG on the throttle, I also fitted a 3.5" trueturn spinner. I had issues with Hanger 9's C.G on the Twist 60 so I put the C.G at the forward range with the batteries in the rear I added no extra weight....all up weight is 9.7 Lbs dry still below the manual top weight spec, I have read that the 26GT is only ok,ish with no pipe so thats why I have ordered the tuned pipe also, anybody have any experience with this issue???.
It's snowing and -12 here in London On Canada so a maiden is a while away but as soon as I do I'll let you all know, I hope it flys like my old 60 because i have to say it was one of the better plane s that was in my hanger...Laterz Colin.

I finally maidened my Twist 150 today... I ran one tank through my Thunder Tigre G2300 to break it in a little, and got a couple of flights in before the snow started coming down! I still have to lean out the low end needle some more, and tone down my low rate ailerons a little for my liking, but from what I can tell so far, if you're a Twist 60 fan, you won't be disappointed in the Twist 150... I'm very pleased with it. It seems to float in for a landing even slower that the 60 does. It seems to knife-edge as well or better than the 60. With the G2300, it seems to have plenty of power, even though it's new and running a little rich right now.

I always connect each aileron servo to the receiver, but a Y-harness will work too. With each aileron servo plugged into the receiver, you'll have the mixing functions available AND you'll get a better power connection to the servos... something to consider with high torque servos.

What am I missing here. They look the same size almost. Why is one rated so much higher for engine size? I am going to buy one of these this week and wonder which is going to be better for 3d? I flew my buddies twist 60 today with a saito 100 and a 16x4w and it was a riot. Hovered at 1/2 stick or a touch more. Pull out was abrupt and plentiful. How is this 150 with 3d performance?

I ended up putting a Perry carb on it to get it to run better. It still doesn't run as well as I'd like. I have to run it pretty rich, and it still has some hesitation in transition, but at least it doesn't die out.
