Default RE: KYOSHO edge 540

hey p51delta, no it's gone. I had the receiver lock-out on me. the plane ended up a mile away and 3 hours to find it. lol. this plane would do well glow powered. It's not one of those super-lites where the vibration from the engine will rattle all the joints apart. there's a couple ways to tie the elevators together. you could use heavy wire bend it in a " U " drill out the elevators to fit the wire. there are many planes that do it that way. I used a alum piece that I had off another plane. you can use wood too and epoxy them together. just keep it close to the hinge line. because you have to remove the area in the fuselage for the piece to travel. the pic from post #34 is the best one I have. if you look you can see the alum piece going through the hole in the fuselage tieing the elev. together. landing gear wire put in between the elev. and horizontal stab wouldn't require such a huge hole. hope I've helped.

GP your not compairing apples to apples. the SA edge is a 50" wingspan. the kyosho is 55". Big difference in a plane this size. also the SA is a kit. I know a lot of us would love to put a kit together. but... just don't have the time. I know that plane comes out real lite but I would have to change my gear out to some smaller stuff to get that plane to fly good. my battery alone weighs a pound.

jim, I guess I owe you a couple cookie bars for those comments. hopefully we'll get some good weather soon. I'm getting bored. lol.
