Default RE: Power Expander Pro problems

ORIGINAL: rrritchey

Hi,
I think your problem might be that you plugged one of the receiver leads into the "battery" input on your receiver. You should NOT plug anything into the battery input of the receiver, it will cause the receiver to go into DSC mode and stop responding. This is the most common thing when a problem like yours occurs, otherwise I am not sure what else could be wrong.
Please let me know how I can be of any further help.
Thanks for the quick response - you are absolutlely correct. I read all the instructions but forgot that little detail when I got around to hooking everything up for testing. I will make the change when I get home from work but I'm sure that will solve the problem.

Now for a second question or some advice from an expert. As you know I have the Power Expander Pro that I have two batteries (lipos) hooked to through two Fromeco regulators. I want to use a lipo for the ignition but that means I need another regulator. Can you recommend a better setup that might reduce the amount of equipment needed. I like to have redundancy on with the batteries but could go either way with the rest of the setup.

Thanks in advance
