I have a Smart-Fly Power Expander Pro that I can't get to work. I hooked up the leads to the receiver, plugged the servo leads into the correct channels, and turned the system on and none of the servos move. I have lipo batteries going through Fromeco regulators regulated to ~6.0v. When I switch the system on is see the LEDs on the Power Expander light up so I know it is getting power. Any ideas on what to look for with my trouble shooting?

Hi,
I think your problem might be that you plugged one of the receiver leads into the "battery" input on your receiver. You should NOT plug anything into the battery input of the receiver, it will cause the receiver to go into DSC mode and stop responding. This is the most common thing when a problem like yours occurs, otherwise I am not sure what else could be wrong.
Please let me know how I can be of any further help.

Now for a second question or some advice from an expert. As you know I have the Power Expander Pro that I have two batteries (lipos) hooked to through two Fromeco regulators. I want to use a lipo for the ignition but that means I need another regulator. Can you recommend a better setup that might reduce the amount of equipment needed. I like to have redundancy on with the batteries but could go either way with the rest of the setup.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Not really. You should keep your ignition system separate from your radio system. We do sell an inexpensive ignition regulator just for this purpose.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
