I agree, it's a really good series. However, it drives me nuts when they start talking about the SBD pulling 9 G turns! Please, the pilot couldn't survive it and 9 g's would pull the wings off a SBD. They say the same thing about 9 and 11 g's on other prop driven planes.
Well, disagree all you want about SBD pulling 9Gs. They wouldn't go to the trouble to animate a combat encounter if it was fictional. I for one loved the story of the B-17 (aka ole 666) that was modified in the field by its crew to include soem extra guns.
As for the rest of the series. Love it as well. The Death of the Japanese Navy and I missed out on seeing the sinking of the Bismark. History Channel offers some of these shows on DVDs now.
