the traxxas rustler and jato are equipped with 2.5 engines that allow them to go up to 45 mph+ so i was wondering does the engine in the hot bodies lightning 10 st allow it to go that fast aswell?

The engine has very little too do with top speed , GEARING is what dictates how fast you can go .
I have seen .12 powered cars go 60+ and .28-.32 cars struggle to break 45 mph .
