Default engine question

the traxxas rustler and jato are equipped with 2.5 engines that allow them to go up to 45 mph+ so i was wondering does the engine in the hot bodies lightning 10 st allow it to go that fast aswell? http://www.hotbodiesonline.net/kit.p...=66501&lang=en this page has info on the engine.

The engine has very little too do with top speed , GEARING is what dictates how fast you can go .

I have seen .12 powered cars go 60+ and .28-.32 cars struggle to break 45 mph .

no there not the same engine, hotbodies are in with HPI, so its proly a HPI engine or a HB engine. 2.5 just means its a .15ci engine

I am very happy with my Dynamite .12spd race engine. I went with the .12 to be race legal. Not sure how it would compare to many others. Plenty fast for me, starts everytime and holds a tune.

Yeah as some others have said there two totally different engine's there just the same size. 2.5cc equally's .15 cubic inches. It's just a marketing ploy so some people think it's a larger engine then what it really is.
