Default RE: A NEW KIND OF BUILD THREAD, for those of you . . .

ORIGINAL: sticktickler

Steve if I was you I think I would reinforce that end piece of the box if you plan to pull it around from the hook. You could easily pull the end piece off the box those are no load glue joints unlike a dovetail joint like a dresser drawer. They where not meant for that kind of outward pulling force which you will be applying with the handle. Beef the side section up with some 90 degree angle stock in the outer corners see drawing USE 30 min EPOXY and be neat then you should be fine.

RESPONSE: Okay will do, I will order some 1 inch triangle hardwood stock tonight or tomorrow and glue them in place (if I can find a source that carries them that size, that is the size I would recommend I use.

Also you may need to get BRASS bolts and nuts for your connection brass is a much better conductor of electricity and would provide more current flow. Those other plated blots could provide some level of resistance and not give you full power.

RESPONSE: Okay, will do, I will stop off at Carr Hardware tomorrtow and do that. I almost bought brass too but I thought the opposite, I thought the brass would have LESS conductivity.
Hey Steve what do you think of these 10" tundra casters?

RESPONSE: A bit bigger than my needs call for but I love them. Where did you find them? I hope you are not recommending them for my use as I already purchased the casters I will be using.
