NS wouldn't recommend that C-47 unless you're ready to plunk a good deal of money in and like fixing things. a single motor is good... thinking of the future is even better. i'm sure you realize what a beating you get when you sell used RC stuff so i wouldn't recommend that you get into things you're not going to be in for the long run. if you plan to fly electrics, then go ahead and get a parkflyer. invest in a good charger and some decent batteries. but realize that that stuff may go to waste if you end up back on the glow path. i'd recommend just picking up a used trainer (tons of them always for sale) and get your airtime on that. get it through your club so that you can hassle the guy if something goes wrong :-) seriously, though, if you plan to go glow, invest in glow. it'll be cheaper in the long run.

don't get into twins just yet. even though electrics are far tamer than glow or gas, they are still nothing for the beginner.

good luck!

ps. you might try the "pay it forward" thread. i know if you were in my neighborhood, i'm sure i could lend you a few things to cut your teeth in.
