Effectively, the range will last until you can't see the orientation of either helicopter anymore.

Quite frankly, if you are flying that far away, you are doing something wrong, and you won't be able to even see the bird to get it back most of the time.

In distance, I have no idea, but range is really not an issue with Micro Heli's unless your flying by a camera or somethin.
