Blade Cx2 Range

Effectively, the range will last until you can't see the orientation of either helicopter anymore.
Quite frankly, if you are flying that far away, you are doing something wrong, and you won't be able to even see the bird to get it back most of the time.
In distance, I have no idea, but range is really not an issue with Micro Heli's unless your flying by a camera or somethin.

The CX-2 has a low-power transsmitter. Range is maybe 300 feet at best.
The CP has a normal power transmitter, range is far beyond where the heli would be out of sight.

Hey guys, i'm obviously having a prob with my CX2 then because i can't get more than 30-50ft of range.....i actually neva noticed this prob until the other day because i have been flyin the bird close to me. The other day i was flying her and she jus dropped from the sky with the LEDs on the 4 in 1 all shutting off, i thought it was interference because of the area i was flying in but yesterday i was flying in an area i kno to be interferece free and decided to really fly her around and she dropped again from the sky about 30' from me.
That's when i suspected that there was a range issue with my CX2, so i went to three other areas and did a range test by setting the throttle trim up enough for the blades to spin and i walked away from the TX and in all three areas i couldn't get passed 40 or so feet before the orange status light turned off and the blades stopped spinning. I opened up the TX and checked all connections including the pigtail on the antenna and they were all fine, i opened up the 4 in 1 and the antennas were all soldered fine, batteries in the TX are new and volts reading around 6.2 and the battery on the heli is fully charged.
I'd like sumone with a WATT meter or access to one to please do a reading on their TX so i can see if there's a prob with my TX not pushing enough power or if it's an antenna issue or a RX (4 in 1) issue.

Hello all,
I was curious. If I buy the CX2 helicopter, could I use the radio that comes with the CX2 and be able to use it with some remote control planes too so I wouldn’t have to buy an additional radio for some remote control planes I’m interested in? Specifically, I wanted to know if I will I be able to buy servos and a receiver down the road to use with some of the GW planes like the SlowStick, Tigermoth, and Zero and use them with the CX2 radio? Or is the range on the CX2 so limited that I'd be better off buying a better radio for possible future RC Airplanes down the road. A Park flyer would be the biggest Remote Control plane I'd ever buy. Thanks.

Crash You can;t use the CX2 tranmitter with other planes i would suggest getting a tx and servo combo if you bundle you save and you can get micro servos with the all brands thats the type you will need for parkflyers

The transmitter for the CX-2 is designed to be low-powered. It hasn't sufficient range for an airplane.
The receiver OTOH with a DX-7 transmitter can be used in an airplane.

Hi,
I lost contact at about 120 feet and crashed the day after I bought the heli. I was having no problems flying until I suddenly lost motor power and went down hard (from about 50 feet). After crashing, I read this post discussing the range problem. I expected the range to be as good as typical aircraft (and the Spektrum system) and it didn't address the topic in the manual. Has anyone had any luck getting warrantee coverage? I see this as a defect or it should at least be discussed in the manual.
Thanks, Chet

The transmitter with the CX2 is not a full range transmitter and the CX2 is not intended to be flown from long range, so it's not a defect. You can get extended range by using a DX7 transmitter.
