Hangar 9 80" Cap 232
I am currently putting one of these 80" H9-CAP 232 together for the frequent eye-hand coordination practice required to fly heavy reseach planes. I have a choice of either a RCS - 44 twin or a 3W-48 twin for the plane. The 3W-48 is more powerful by a significant amount. The RCS - 44 turns a 20 x 8 @ 6700 rpms while the 3W-48 turns a 22 x 10 @ 6800 rpms. Both engines weigh about the same with the 3W a few oz heavier.
I would like advice about the better of these 2 engines for the 80" cap airframe. I like power but too much defeats the purpose.
Thanks Elson
