wow! I'm usind a Mejzlik 20/8 and it hovers fine at about 3/4 throttle. I can even climb out of it (slowly). I'm going to try a 22/8 and see if its any better. yeah, I'd mess with the needles a bit.

Got my first flights on the Cap this weekend, and it is sweet! Ive got a Moki 2.10 up front which seemed to be plenty of power. The plane tracked beautifully, and was very responsive even with the throws set up at the low end. Didnt try anything crazy, but it was great with the basic pattern maneuvers. The moki was a horse, take off in about 100' at 1/2 throttle, and basically 1/2 or less throttle for all the aerobatics. I think Ill keep her!

yeah, its a good one alright. Knife edge is wonderful! I like doing a low knife edge pass, then add more rudder for a half K.E. loop, then at the top feed in top rudder for another pass and half K.E loop. It makes kind of a Knife edge "S" I've found the plane to be really strong, too. I've had some engine trouble and had to land in a plowed field twice! Both times it flipped over. The only damage was the first time a couple of rudder hinges pulled out. I just put my wheel pants on last weekend. They sure make it look cool!

Talk about strong, on Sat. I took out the Cap to do final engine tweaking before first flight on Sun. I dragged the fuse out and set it upside down in my Robart stand, went back to the truck to get my wing and found the wind (and some unstable ground) had caused the plane to fall off the stand and land on the rudder and horiz. stab. I thought it was broke for sure, but not even a ding in the covering, and the tail feathers were rock solid. Cant wait to get some more time this weekend, need to track down some 0% fuel for the moki though, a little detonation on the 5%. Once I know the engine is reliable the real fun will begin!

I have the H-9 Edge with OS 1.60 and it does pretty well. What do you all think about the 1.60 in this Cap?

I talked to ChiefAircraft yesterday and they recommended a ZDZ40. The guy I talked to has the ZDZ40 in his and felt it had plenty of power.

Mine Harriers great! i haven't tried the other stuff yet, other than hover. Yes, I think the ZDZ 40 would be a great motor for this plane. did they recommend the 40 sport or the other one?

ASAT,

I used I beleive the 1/4(?) scale robarts, I dont have the packaging any more, but if you look at the sizes available, they are the obvious choice. If you have a Robart hinge jig, they are the size that require the large jig. Anyway, I used the same size all around with no problem fitting them. I have seven in each aileron, five in each elevator, and six in the rudder, should be fairly bulletproof. Hope this helps, if you need exact specs, I can measure mine for you.

Well, I picked up the 1/8 and the 3/16 hinge points and I just can't imagine using 5 of the 3/16 in the elevator - I have never used these though, could you measure yours? Also a brief description of the install? Do you "notch" the TE so the hinge pin is recessed? (so the gap is still minimal)
