FLAPERONS!!
I have a few degrees of up and a few degrees of down are there anyone using them and whats the best way-- up for takeoff down for landing ??
Well, both ailerons up is called spoilerons and you certainly don't want to use that for takeoff. I wouldn't suggest using flaperons (both ailerons down) for takeoff either. I have not flown mine yet but flaperons might be useful for landing. The only way to tell is to try them out at landing speed with some altitude so you have time to recover if the outcome isn't good. I don't think they are necessary judging by the posted flight reports but I think it's worth trying out to see how the plane reacts. One thing to keep in mind with flaperons is that you don't want to go extreme or you could lose aileron control.
