I remember something being said on these forums before that the nextar acted weird if you left the wing extensions on and took all the other goodies off. That might be somethign to keep in mind.

I have to agree though, if the engine kept dieing and the rudder locked, your instructor didn't help you set stuff up properly and break it in.
