This is painless. The Eagle is the logical choice hands down. The size lends it's self to being seen and being able to make slow easy flights, desired by all students at least at first.
Small planes require you keep them fairly close to see them and control them. Were I teaching you I would insist on the Eagle given the choices. Also small planes , small servos, etc., none any less expensive than standard servos, savings would be minimal.
I don't even know what an Indicator is but if it calls for an .049 it's to small for a good trainer, period.
Use a good BB 46 on the Eagle.
