I to am to the point to where I preffer PCM, but FM will work. I used an FM receiver in my first bird for well over a year. And still have a couple in my lower cost birds. I will eventually be going all PCM. But for now the FM's will do in the cheaper birds. But there is no way I would ever put an FM reciever in say my Vigor CS or my Fury. That being said I would say that if you can afford the PCM reciever, get it for sure. But if it is a FM or don't fly. Then just use the FM until you can afford to get the PCM receiver. Just alway keep frequency control in mind, no matter what you fly with.
