if you are trying to keep your cost to $800 the SE is pretty much out of the picture. how about the SA version? it is an ARF and cost $200. add in $135 for the 401 gyro, $70 for a good tail servo for decent servos, $200 for a dx-6, $120 for motor and ESC. add in another $100 for a couple packs. that comes up to $825. of course, add in tax unless you mail order from out of state. i don't know how much difference you would notice in an SA and SE. Just take it easy and try to to break anything. unless you are very experienced and very good, you probably will not notice any difference.
most of the major mail order places have combo specials. check our heli-proz, ready-heli, hobby lobby, etc...
