Not quite true misshydro. I would be happier with more torque and slightly less RPM so I could spin a larger prop. It also depends on the kind of boat being built. A PT or tug wouldn't be good for a 30K+ RPM engine to be dropped in to. By the same token, a 12K RPM four stroke aircraft engine wouldn't be a good choise for a hydro. Until rob crash24 lets us know what kind of boat he is working on, telling him what to power it with would be a guess, and they are usually wrong.
