Bullfrog got his working but here is the simple solution for all LAPTOP flyers.

From Add Hardware, add a game port. It is under "Sound, video and game controllers". Even though your laptop does not have a game port, Real Flight is looking for a port to configure. Your Game Port to USB adapter does the trick.

I have set this up on several laptops, both original game port controller and ILink. Works great.
