It gives u that error becuz it cant find the I- controller or your controller for Realflight. U must find a way to get it to recognize the controller u are using on startup.

If you are just using the USB adaptor that came with another joy stick it wont work. I cant even get a regular joy stick to work with the USB adaptor it came with. You might be able to get one of the adaptors off ebay as I have heard good things about those.

I'm getting the same error. I am not using a RealFlight controller or adapter. I am using a serial port controller made from an old transmitter. It works fine with Dave Brown RCFS, FMS, and every other simulator that I have tried. So, why is it so difficult for RealFlight to recognize the controller when it is readily available through the system? According to the documentation, RealFlight will recognize serail port systems. I have never had another software package that was so difficult to install and get it operating. This from a $200 software package.

Great, I am going to get a new laptop tomorrow and the USB version cause it does not have a game port. I hope that it will run it because the only reason I am getting the lap top is so I can stay in practice while I am at work lol.

That's not true about the USB. I have the USB JOY running on my office PC. You just have to choose CONTROLLER TYPE and use the 4 BUTTON Flight YOKE. It worked for me.

Well it took me awhile but i got everything to work. The Kelib error was a result in my laptop not finding the controller. I was using the usb port and had to put windows 98 second edition in and install the driver. After i installed the driver i switched real flight from game port to usb and everything works great. It can be done and its just take alot of patience. (ps. i have laptop) Good luck .

To all,
Bullfrog got his working but here is the simple solution for all LAPTOP flyers.
From Add Hardware, add a game port. It is under "Sound, video and game controllers". Even though your laptop does not have a game port, Real Flight is looking for a port to configure. Your Game Port to USB adapter does the trick.
I have set this up on several laptops, both original game port controller and ILink. Works great.
If you have any questions, let me know. I don't post much simulator stuff here but can also be found on GP or Knife Edge softwares forums.
